MacaholiQ8 and mentabolism commented on my last post and I have to share this with you! :)

Here is what MacaholiQ8 had to say:

We call that type of trucks "WANATE" because the first model ever arrived in Kuwait had a license plate with the number "18"...

Which brings up the forumla...

18 = 1-8 = One-Eight = WANEIGHT

Hence the name is WANATE!

AND

The Vanette was a pick up truck which used to be manufactured by Nissan and is popular with the unorganized market.

However there's another side of this story... some say it was the engine capacity in liter, not a license plate... It had a 1.8L engine.

Whether it was a license plate or engine capacity it still is concluded and ?translated? by the numbers 1 and 8. ;); 6:20 PM
